BusWorks helped to sponsor Showbus this year and held a special surgery in the centre of the site with several of their completed restoration projects on display. A late substitution for a vintage Southdown Titan, last seen at Showbus in the seventies, was this immaculate Eastern Scottish Alexander Y-type bodied Leyland Leopard ZH537 (BSG537L).

This stunning RESL from the Ribble fleet arrived from BusWorks on Friday evening so enjoyed a long sunny weekend at Showbus.

Another BET that embraced the Bristol/ECW combination was Southdown. This Mark I VR was 510 (UUF110J) in the south coast fleet and is seen here arriving at Duxford on the Sunday morning. EFE announced a new casting at Showbus of the flat front VR, doubtless 510 may find itself in 4mm scale before too long.

BusWorks restores all manner of vehicles, but the Bristol/ECW combination seems to be a popular choice. This is former Eastern Counties RE896 (SVF896G) with its distinctive dark red band. Several Tilling companies managed to keep a separate colour for their coach fleets rather than Tilling Red or Tilling Green, more obvious examples were Royal Blue, United and South Midland.
