The 49 route was one of the trunk services of former Brighton Blue Bus, the erstwhile Corporation operation. When the company passed to B&H the blue colour coding was appropriately used for the route. New Dennis Darts were acquired for the 49, but Tridents later held sway - as seen here with 836 (W836NNJ), opposite the Pavillion.
