The distinctive front end treatment, with the inverted triangular look gives the double deck fleet of Devon based Country Bus an unusual appearance and serves to disguise their origins. This is a pair of Scania N113DRB doubledeckers for school services, acquired from Brighton & Hove. They were Brighton 773 (P873VFG) and 774 (P874VFG) new with East Lancs bodywork in 1997. No mistaking where Red Rose acquired this Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart from. The bus was new as 79 (M79CYJ). It did not stay in the fleet long, being cannibalised for spares at the final stage and kept its Brighton & Hove livery to the end. It is seen in December 2008 outisde the one time Showbus headquarters on Fair Ridge in High Wycombe. |
