Portsmouth City Transport Atlantean Alexander
Seen in 1972 when brand new at Alexander's factory in Falkirk is Leyland Atlantean 262 (VTP262L). Several Y-types for Alexander (Midland) with blue relief are also in view.

Portsmouth City Transport Atlantean East Lancs
After the Alexander Atlanteans, Portsmouth bought a batch bodied by East Lancs. The box like appearance of 349 (CPO349W) is a sharp contrast to the curves of the Alexander bodies.

Portsmouth City Transport Leyland Atlantean Seddon
Portsmouth were obviously keen on Atlanteans and was one of the few operators to take examples bodied as singledeckers. Atlantean 188 (RTP188J) was the first of 12 all fitted with unusual Seddon Pennine dual door bodywork. It is seen at Southsea Pier.

Portsmouth City Transport Dennis Lancet Wadham Stringer
Continuing with its unusal singledeck purchases, Portsmouth bought a batch of three Dannis Lancets, 95-97, bodied locally by Wadham Stringer. Seen at the Southsea Bus Rally is 95 (GTP95X) alongside another rarity, a Bournemouth Marshall bodied Olympian. Lancet 95 differed from 96 and 97 by having dual purpose seating.
