King Alfred WCG104 was one of a batch of three Leyland Tiger Cubs (WCG103-105) with Weymann bodywork bought in 1959. Bought at the same time were AEC Bridgemasters WCG106 & 107. Tiger Cub WCG104 is seen at the 2001 Southsea Spectacular.

The bus is found in much the same spot two years later, but this time next to a
Royal Blue
LS rather than a
Guernsey Motors
Albion.

Earlier that year the Tiger Cub was with
Stagecoach
Dennis Dart/Alexander Dash 32314 (PSU787) - originally 474 (N314AMC).
Stagecoach
painted the bus in the old King Alfred colours as part of the 30th Anniversary of the end of the company, when it was sold to
Hants & Dorset
.

The Tiger Cub was seen again in July 2013 at the Newbury Bus Rally.

Star of the incredible fleet of preserved King Alfred buses is OU9286, a 1931 Dennis 30cwt with Short 18 seat bodywork. It is seen at Southsea in 2001.
