In 2002 Solent Blue Line turned to the Volvo B7TL and 757 (HX51ZRK) is seen at Southsea in June that year. The bodywork is again by East Lancs, but with the new Vyking Mylennium style front. |
Plaxton Beaver bodied Mercedes 709D 45 (J219KTT), former Plymouth Citybus 219, is seen at the 2000 Royal Victoria Bus Rally in Southampton.
|
New in 1973 to Southern Vectis as 637, this VR was one of the first in the "Musterphantom" Solent Blue Line fleet as 37 (NDL637M) in 1987. It was withdrawn in 1989 and passed to Taylors of Sutton Scotney for six years followed by a brief spell with Home James of Southampton and finally four years with Classic Coaches of High Wycombe. In 2000 it passed to preservationists on the Isle of Wight who have restored it to the original bold Solent Blue Line colours. It is seen here at the 2006 Alton Rally. |
