The third MCW Metrorider in the Red Rose fleet was acquired from Cardiff Bus where it was their 160 (F160AWO). Whilst the other Red Rose MCW MetroRiders continued in Westlink livery, Red Rose 196 was painted in fleet colours. It is seen here in Dunstable town centre on the Saturday (and Wednesday) 52 service linking parts of Dunstable and Houghton Regis with the local Sainsbury superstore.

Another MCW MetroRider - 161 (F161AWO) - is seen in Rotherham with its new operator, Powells Bus.

Former London Country ECW bodied Bristol LHS6L BN38 (GPD306N) had a checkered career after leaving the former National Bus subsidiary in 1982, serving as Cardiff 306 for four years, it then travelled north to work for Trimdon Motor Services and their associated Tyne & Wear Bus Company. In 1989 TMS was taken over by Northern and BN38 passed to Busways Travel Services (Blue Bus), Newcastle and in the following year ended up with Smith of Weymouth, with whom it was photographed! |
