Cardiff AEC Bridgemaster Park Royal
Cardiff city is unusually plagued by lowbridges both on an east-west axis on the London line to West Wales and on lines running north up the valleys. Some may remember the fleet of singledeck trolleybuses acquired as part of the solution to this problem. In 1960 a batch of six AEC-Park Royal rear entrance Bridgemasters was acquired. Fifth in the batch, 365 (TUH365) is seen languishing in a yard in the company of former Aldershot and District lowheight Dennis Loline, 400 (400COR). Sadly the location cannot be recalled but is believed to have been in the North East.

Carousel Buses Alexander bodied Volvo Ailsa
An unusual purchase for Carousel Buses in High Wycombe - perhaps of necessity, as the new school term started in September 2007, was this ex Cardiff Alexander bodied Volvo Ailsa. The Ailsa had originally been Alexander (Fife) FRA71 (A971YSX) and joined Cardiff's large and successful fleet of unusual Northern Counties bodied Ailsas as their 451. One of the Northern Counties Cardiff Ailsas also joined Carousel at the same time, neither gained red livery and were rarely seen in service.

Somewhat surprisingly the bus was seen in service in Marlow the following month on a contract serving Great Marlow School.
