Other Cardiff Buses to appear in High Wycombe other than the Carousel Ailsas were some of the Alexander bodied Bristol VRs which were purchased by Heyfordian for an exclusive contract service for Oxford Brookes University. The livery is that of the university. The contract used to belong to City of Oxford but was taken over by Motts Travel as part of their Yellow Bus operation. It later passed to Stagecoach
Oxford then back to Oxford. VR 9945NE and its Heyfordian fellows were moved to Wycombe for local school contract work.

This rear view of the 3 VRs transferred to Wycombe is headed by 7034KW, formerly Cardiff 384. As can be seen, the Oxford Brookes lettering has been retained.

Though Motts Travel relinquished their bus services to the Oxford Bus Company and Arriva the Shires, they retained contracts with Oxford Brookes and, in particular, the shuttle service between Oxford and Wheatley for the annual Midsummer Ball. Subcontracted for the 2000 ball were several Heyfordian vehicles including the then appropriately lettered VRs.

Whereas most of Cardiff's fifty five Alexander bodied Bristol VRTSL3 Gardner 6LXB powered buses are probably no more, at least 360 (WTG360T) lives on in preservation. In service at the 2016 Barry Island running day its open top body proved popular with visitors after a free ride from the seafront display to the Bus Museum. The bus was new with a convertible open top for city tours and when it left Cardiff it moved to the Bath Bus Company where it was used on university bus services before being repainted into City Sightseeing livery for use in the city. It later worked for Solent Blue Line back in an orange livery as their 902 on the New Forest Tour. After a brief inactive spell with Southern Vectis on the Isle of Wight it went to the Weston-super-Mare based new Croville company to ply the town's seafront where it gained its present livery. After the 2013 summer season it joined the care of the Cardiff Transport Preservation Group.
