Something of a gem in January 1973, preserved Guy bodied Guy Arab III singledeck 63 (FA9291) set off in snow from Burton for Uxbridge, where it was met with warmer weather. It was attending a bus rally at Brunel University's community festival, Brunelzebub. The event was the forerunner of what became the world's biggest annual bus show, SHOWBUS. It was over forty years before another Burton bus appeared at SHOWBUS as seen on the previous page.

The near twenty participants took part in a parade around the University's perimeter road and 63 is being followed by South Midland's Duple Commander bodied Bristol LH6L touring coach with a number of the London Bus Preservation Group's collection parked on the right.

The bus was parked up with two normal control coaches Beestons Plaxton bodied Austin CXB, BCF802 and former Royal BlueDuple bodied Bedford OB 1428 (LTA904). The Austin was reacquired by Beestons and fully restored to pristine condition and returned to SHOWBUS at Donington Park in 2017. The Bedford was later painted in the colours of Premier of Watford in which guise it has returned to SHOWBUS.

Some old slides of the Brunel parade appeared recently and Guy 63 can be seen following the former Eastern National KSW in its Wings livery followed by the LH, OB, a modern Valliant-Silverline coach and the Austin.

The new Alder Valley Bristol VRTSL6G led the parade.
