Ellie Rose Travel DMS Leyland Fleetlie MCW OUC42R
This anonymous MCW bodied Leyland DMS, DMS2042 (OUC42R), was seen at the 2003 Cobham rally and from there went to Danny Chabaud in France. It is believed to be in the colours of Ellie Rose Travel of Hull who acquired it in 2001. Before that Country Hopper, Ibstock acquired it from Midland Red South (their 954) in 1996. It is one of many successfully converted to single door post sale by LT to Stevensons (their 52) in 1985.

Crosville Cymru Bristol VRTSL3 ECW EVG49 UVT49X
Crosville Cymru ECW bodied Bristol VRTSL3 EVG49 (UVT49X) moved from Stevensons to Crosville Cymru via Midland Fox in the British Bus days before Arriva when all three companies, though owned by British Bus, retained their individual liveries. The bus is seen here at SHOWBUS international 2001 preserved in Crosville Cymru livery.

Leyland Tiger PS1 Wilkes & Meade JAX354 & Alexander Northern Daimler CVD6 Burlingham ND20
At Millenium Showbus was this 1950 Leyland Tiger PS1, JAX354, new to JMT in 1948 with a Wilkes & Meade body as 60 (J8535), later it saw many years service with Davies Bros of Pencader re-registered JAX354. Dunn-Line entered it at Millenium Showbus in Stevensons colours and it won the prize for the best Leyland present. It is seen in company with Northern Scottish ND20 (BMS415) a 1948 Daimler CVD6, bodied by Burlingham.

Bedwas & Machen Leyland Titan PD3 Massey 6
This photo was taken near Newport on the day when "PAX" left Wales for Uttoxeter driven by Martin Isles and Julian Peddle. The former Bedwas & Machen 6 was bought from Rhymey Valley District Council, an operation formed on local government reorganisation in 1974. They numbered the lowbride Massey bodied Leyland Titan PD3 96 (PAX466F), but never got round to painting it in their striking chocolate, cream and gold livery, but it would soon be in Stevensons striking yellow, black and white as their number 30.

MK Metros at Showbus 99
For a fleet heavily standardised on minibuses, this selection of MK Metro buses at SHOWBUS 99 owes a lot to the enthusiasm of Julian Peddle! Leyland Titan PAX466F re-emerged in MK Metro colours as 266 when Stevensons was sold off. Julian had acquired MK Metro in the meantime and placed "PAX" in their care. The Bristol LH was used for driver training and rural services into Bucks. The B45 proto-Olympian was used on school services and the recently restored Leyland Swift on city routes, with the Solo (fleet number 11). The Olympian is now with the Manchester Bus Museum and - by agreement - remained in MK Metro colours for some years.
