Many of that last batch of Olympians bought by East Yorkshire were painted in traditional East Yorkshire blue for the 56 and 56A services. However, as with many bus companies, the vehicles never stick to their dedicated routes and this vehicle had indeed just working into Hull on a 157 service from Ferriby. Photo by Pete Brown. |

An unusual vehicle in the East Yorkshire Fleet is DAF SB250/Optare Spectra 571 (A1EYD). This was one of the very first Spectra's to be built and was the only one in the East Yorkshire fleet.

To add capacity on booming low floor routes in Hull, East Yorkshire acquired four low floor double deckers
for evaluation during 2001. This consisted of two Plaxton President bodied B7TLs and two Alexander ALX400 bodied Dennis Tridents. This vehicle is 658 (W658WKH), a B7TL/Plaxton. East Yorkshire then chose this as their new double decker and has ordered eight for early 2002.
