It is tough to spot amognst the thousand New Routemasters roaming London's streets, but ST812 (LTZ1812) is unique. Spotting the ST, instead of LT prefixed number was a chance observation, the penny dropping quickly that this bus was different. Instead of the 11.3m of the other 999, ST812 has lost 1.1m in its wheelbase and eight of the normal precious 62 seats, already two less than the original Routemaster. Metroline was the lucky company to receiver ST812 and it works alongside standard buses. It is seen here outside Charing Cross Station one day last week not long after sunset. Alongside is Go-Ahead London standard New Routemaster LT394 (LTZ1394) in a wrap to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. The bus was new to Stagecoach London but transferred with route 15 to Go-Ahead London.
