Anglian Bus was born in 1986 with deregulation of bus services in the United Kingdom. It grew to a fleet of around seventy vehicles and in 2012 was sold to the Go-Ahead Group who were acquiring a number of operators in the area at the time. In 2017 they closed the subsidiary down, merging what was left into their neighbouring Konectbus subsidiary.

The bus was displayed alongside a similar model from Konectbus, little realising that the two companies would end up in common ownership under Go-Ahead in a few years time. |

The bus had previously been a demonstrator for Optare and is seen here on loan to Carousel of High Wycombe - also now part of Go-Ahead - on their route 400, leaning heavily as it turns off the A404 into the Handy Cross Sports Centre road. |

A minute or so later the bus is leaving the Sports Centre. The detour the venue required has since been deleted from the route, which became purple branded under Bucks County's "Rainbow Routes" scheme. The demonstration to Carousel did not result in any Tempos joining the fleet, but several were transferred from Wilts & Dorset when Go-Ahead took over. |
