Onondaga Coaches has been in the bus transportation history of Central New York since the twenties? In 1927, the Cayuga Omnibus Corporation began operations in Auburn, their fleet reached more than twenty buses offering service runs between Auburn, Skaneateles, Marcellus, and Syracuse as well as other municipalities. Then in 1953, Onondaga Coach Corporation was formed soon after the Cayuga Omnibus Corporation ceased operation. They took over the routes and expanded in the sixties through a mutual agreement with Greyhound. As the years went on Onondaga Coach found additional charter work with schools and groups from all over our area eventually giving up their routes Centro and switching to focus completely on Charter and Tour services, which is what we see MCI 508 engaged upon in August 2008. |
North Fork Express are based at Ronkonkoma and do the usual mix of charter and schools work and a network of college to home services for several state institutions including Ithica. This MCI J4500, 2202, is in their commuter service from Glen Cove, Greenvale and Roslyn into the World Financial Center in July 2017.
