First Capital Metrobus on route 1
First Capital took over route 1 from London Central, initially using their Titans, later Metrobuses were gathered from a variety of sources, mostly First Centrewest - though some Centrewest Metrobuses which had been disposed of to the provinces were recalled. The route later received new doubledeckers. This one is seen at the Centre Point terminus.

First Capital Dennis trident Plaxton President T816LLC
Capital Citybus were quite fond of Dennis chassis, so their first low floors, in the shape of Plaxton bodied Tridents fit in quite nicely. TN816 (T816LLC) displays blinds for the W8, but is actually on display in the rain at the 1999 North Weald Rally. A large display of First Capital vehicles is expected at Showbus display.

First Capital Mk 2 Metrobus
Also at North Weald, but contrasting with the Metrobuses at the top of the page, is this Mark 2 Metrobus, new to Capital in yellow, but now in the new fleet guise. It was amongst the last Metrobuses built.
