South Midland DMS Daimler Fleetline MCW 903
Former London DMS1538 (THM538M) appeared as an open topper in the South Midland fleet in the early days of Blundred ownership. It was, of course, used on tours of the historic city numbered 903. It was sold to Ensignbus in their dealer capacity who sold it on to Ryans of Langridge to do a summer season in Bath in 1989 before sending it to an Ensign affiliate in Seville in Spain. It was noted in 2000 back with Ryans.

Oxford South Midland Daimler Fleetline MCW 994
Before the two halves of Oxford South Midland were split as part of the privatisation of the National Bus Company a number of MCW bodied Daimler Fleetline DMS was acquired for the city, retaining their dual doors which were already common place across the fleet. Most were used on the city's Park & Ride services if not immediately then later on in this very non-NBC livery. This is 994 (JGU275K), formerly DMS1275. It spent five years with its new owner.

Others acquired standard NBC poppy red with white relief. Former DMS1267 (JGU267K) spent its seven year stint in London working out of Bromley depot. Numbered 992 it is seen loading in the High Street and heading from the centre. Interestingly it was sold in 1984 to Ebdons of Sidcup, but only as a source of spares, it passed through Wigleys to Bristol Engineering - again for spares - and was at a scrap merchants in Yorkshire within two months of leaving Oxford.

Another DMS in NBC red, seen in the city centre, was 991 (JGU265K), DMS1265, another Bromley based bus. It too left in 1984 but direct to Bristol Engineering for spares, but at the scrap merchants a month later.
