All was not well with this unknown Oxford based Leyland Olympian being recovered by a DAF wrecker at Headington roundabout in June 2005. It was not long after that the Oxford Megabus service was subsumed into the Oxford Tube, then recently equipped with new Neoplan Skyliners. Olympian 13601 continued working for Megabus on the London - Newcastle run.

In July 2005 this Megabus Olympian was working on the Scottish network in Edinburgh.

The MAN/Jonckheere Oxford Tubes displaced by the fleet of Neoplan Skyliners largely went on to Megabus duties. However 50047 is one of three that returned to Oxford in the early summer of 2005 to work Tube duties whilst the Neoplan fleet was sent away for modifications. The coach is seen at the Headington roundabout A40/Ring Road junction in Oxford. Bringing up the rear is an Arriva the Shires 1989 Alexander bodied Olympian delivered new to Luton & District on the 280 to Aylesbury.
Megabus Neoplan Skyliner 50133
Along with the purchase of Skyliners for the Oxford Tube, Stagecoach purchased some for Megabus. Glimpsed on the Bristol service in Kensington is 50133 (CN05APV) in June 2006.
