We were especially delighted when City Of Oxford entered one of their 2007 "airline" coaches in SHOWBUS as we had already used an image of one of these new Plaxton Panther Volvo B12Bs as the main logo for our 2007 event. Each entrant received a plaque, courtesy of Go-Ahead with the image upon it and every bus at the rally featured a window display with their rally number alongside the image. Much was made of the contrasting blue and yellow colours elsewhere too. The Panther was posed at the end of the Go-Ahead line-up, but also at the gateway to the Plaxton display.

Southern Vactis brought this recently accident damaged Northern Counties bodied Olympian acquired from sister fleet Solent Blueline. Having sustained roof damage the bus became an obvious candidate for the Isle of Wight company's sightseeing services, currently branded "Island Breezers". The destination display was a nice touch.

Marchwood Motorways had worked as a franchise operator for Solent Blueline, but followed the company into Go-Ahead ownership. Dating from before that time, this was an unusual acquisition for an independent. 822 (YJ05PXM) is one of a pair of East Lancs bodied VDL DB250LF and joined an earlier DAF based Optare Spectra.

Replacing planned doubledeck entries from Solent Blueline was this Marchwwod Motorways DAF SB120, 564 (YG52CLX). The doubledeckers were engaged, via Go-Ahead London, on rail replacement work. The DAF is in Solent Blueline "bluestar" colours and has apparently been treated to a paint job which is designed to reduce rattles. Proof of the pudding will be in the eating.
