First Southampton Leyland Atlantean East Lancs KOW273Y
1273 (KOW273Y) is a 1982 Leyland Atlantean with East Lancs bodywork, purchased for the erstwhile municipal fleet as 273. As First nationally and Southampton locally groped for a uniform identity, 1273 got painted in bright red with yellow relief.
 
First Southampton MCW Metrobus JHE147W
Looking very Tilling in appearance, red with rich cream relief is a former South Yorkshire/First Capital MCW Metrobus - 526 (JHE147W). It is seen with two elderly Atlanteans and an East Lancs bodied Olympian at Portswood depot.

With a lighter shade of cream relief, former First Capital and Badgerline Metrobus, 968 (DAE510W) was been prepared as a permanent driver trainer.

Seen at the Portswood depot are two further AN68s with a representative of the vehicles which were replacing them: the displaced Metrobuses from First Capital. This particular Metrobus originated with South Yorkshire.

First Southampton 1261 is a later AN68 model Atlantean still in service in February 2000.
