 After the blandness of NBC liveries and before the advent of garish Stagecoach stripes, Southdown went back to its routes and Leyland National 2 123 (HFG923V), seen at Southsea in 2001, is preserved in these colours. |
 Giving a nice summer feel is Southdown National 98 (AYT98T) passing Brighton & Hove open top VR 615 (UWV615S) in Pool Meadow. The VR is on a former Southdown run out to Devil's Dyke and a fully enclosed VR can be seen waiting on a stand behind. |
 Eastbourne East Lancs bodied Leyland Panther, 2 (HHC902J) is being overtaken by a new Leyland National of Southdown, 47 (UFG47S). |
