Southern Vectis Crossley SD42 Whitson 103
A surprise entry at SHOWBUS 2009 was this rare Crossley SD42/7 with Whitson C33F in Southern Vectis colours, GDL33 was new to Nash of Ventnor in 1949 and later became SVOC 103.

Southern Vectis Bristol RESH6G Duple Commander 301
In sharp contast to 103 above, and seen outside the Abbey Hotel in Great Malvern in summer 1971, is three year old 301 (KDL885F). This rare vehicle is a Duple Commander bodied short Bristol RESH6G coach with only 39 seats. The Hotel was a regular location for coach parties to overnight whilst on various tours and the likes of Midland Red and Greenslades were regulars but Southern Vectis was not.

Southern Vectis Bedford YMT Willowbrook 305
Undoubtedly a backward step in NBC days was the acquisition of a trio of Willowbrook bodied Bedford YMT coach es in 1980, of which this was the first, 305 (EDL267V). Oddly the next two with consecutive registrations were numbered 423 and 128 respectively. This coach appears to be on National Express duties in Oxford's Gloucester Green Coach Station.
Southern Vectis Optare Solo SR 3803
Arriving at the Imperial War Museum for SHOWBUS international 2012 is Optare Solo SR 3803 (HW62CGF) maintaining the "Vectis blue" image for the island's smaller buses.
