Top Arriva vehicle at SHOWBUS international 2003 was Southend's East Lancs bodied Dennis Dominator, seen here next to a pair of Olympians.

Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart SLF 3259 (P259FPK) then part of the fleet of Arriva Herts & Essex when seen at Millennium Showbus, after transfer from Southend. Its Surrey registration harks back to the period when Southend's fleet was under the control of Arriva's London & Country division, which it effectively returned to as part of Arriva Kent & Surrey.

The contrast in front end styling between the original Plaxton Pointer body and the revised Pointer 2 is clear in this picture in Stevenage Bus Station in February 2011. The Pointer 2 is an Arriva the Shires MPD, 3293 (V293HBH), which was later tranferred to Aylesbury. The older Dart SLF, 3386 (P256FPK), was new as Southend DSL56 in their white, blue and red livery. |
Seen at the Southsea Rally in June 2003 is Arriva Southend's Dennis Dart SLF 3223 (T823NMJ) with Plaxton Pointer 2 body. |
