The late lamented Silcox of Pembroke Dock was a keen Bristol operator buying buses new as well as secondhand. On the right of this trio of Lodekkas is 19 (FLJ154D), originally H&D FLF6B 1537. The other two are from Bristol Omnibus distinguished by their four track route number displays. On the left is former FLF6B C7176 (BHU976C) from the city fleet and in the middle FLF6G 7075 (538OHU).

Silcox also had Bristol LH6L buses (and coaches). On the left is 109 (NLJ519M), former H&D 3519 and alongside 7 (OWT787M), once West Yorkshire Road Car 1181.

Amongst the oldest buses in the newly merged Hants & Dorset fleet was Wilts & Dorset ECW bodied Bristol KSW5G 370 (HMW447) of 1952. |

After some years Portsmouth Aviation bodied Bristol L6G 779 (KLJ749) was seen at the 2016 Bristol Rally alongside BBW bodied Bristol JO5G 2355 (AHU803) of Bristol Omnibus.

In 1916 the Bournemouth & District Motor Services Limited company was formed, being renamed Hants & Dorset four years later when it acquired Trade Cars of Southampton. To celebrate the centenary in 2016 the reborn Wilts & Dorset, then the major operator in Bournemouth trading as "more" painted this Optare Olympus bodied Scania N230UD, 1412 (HF09FVT), in tradition H&D Tilling green and cream.
