 Hotelier Ken Robins retired in 2016 and sold the company to Go-Ahead. Prior to the sale Excelsior had started to standardise on Jonckheere bodied Volvos like B11R 630 (BF65WLA) seen crossing the Thames on an excursion to the capital in October that year, the month of the sale.

 Seen in the capital in July 2018 is sister vehicle 628 (A17XEL), by then renumbered 7840. The fleet had been numbered in the Go-South Coast numbering series.

 An impressive line up of Excelsior Jonckheere bodied Volvos on Brighton's seafront Madeira Drive. The interloping Damory Coaches Caetano bodied Volvo B9R 7805 (FJ60EHF) used to be Excelsior 918 in National Express livery. First in the line up, B11R 7838 (A15XEL), sports the new two tone blue livery introduced by Go-Ahead. All its south coast fleets use a blue coach livery, though Excelsior's is applied differently with more subtle shades of blue. Alongside is 7843 (A20XEL) and beyond the Caetano,7835 (A12XEL) and 7845 (A4XEL).
