Ordered by Metroline, rather than MTL, TA114 (V314GLB) is an Alexander bodied Trident, rather than the Plaxton President bodied examples that first entered service in the attractive red and blue colours ordered by MTL. The bus is seen at Showbus 99 in the Dennis display, alongside a similar singledoor example for Lothian.

Seen earlier at North Weald 1999 is another Alexander bodied Trident TA67 (T67KLD).

Trident TA108 (V308GLB) is seen at Heathrow Bus Station on the 140. Metroline effectively dual sourced its doubldeckers from both Dennis/Volvo for chassis and Alexander/Plaxton for bodies. This partly arose from the different buying policies of MTL owned London North and the original Metroline. The practice perpetuated, though with Alexanders and Plaxtons then both in common ownership, the Plaxton President appeared to be the preferred model.

Worth a double look is this Metroline ALX400 as it has different origins to most in the fleet. It was new to Armchair for the 237 on which it is still working in May 2008, however the following year the buses were disposed of, Tellings Golden Miller acquiring several for their Kingston University contract. The bus was still carrying its Armchair fleetnumber DT3 (KN52NDC) when photographed at Shepherds Bush Green. It later passed to Abellio as 9831.
