Seen in Romford is an example of an early Grey Green expansion, when they took over from County Bus the 103 route and the fleet of Olympian/Northern Counties recently put into service on it. The batch of vehicles, in Arriva London livery was transferred to North West, primarily for school work.

Motts Travel of Aylesbury acquired six Leyland Tigers from the original batch with Shearings bus subsidiary, Timeline. They arrived at Motts in Arriva livery having been with Arriva North West. The buses were 55 seaters with Ulster style bodywork by Alexander (Belfast). The first two entered service as such, but the third was fitted out as a 70 seater with 3+2 seating. The seats were dual purpose style with lap diagonal belts with school work as an obvious market. Seen at the company's old Stoke Mandeville depot is E26UNE. By clicking on the Motts Travel fleetname you can see our selection of photos of the various members of the batch acquired in service with Motts. |
