The Original London Sightseeing Tour has seen all manner of vehicles in its time including this ex East Kent Park Royal bodied Guy Arab III dating from 1951, FFN384. |
There were three batches of Willowbrook bodied Bristol VRs, one for Northern General, one for Cardiff and one for East Kent. Willowbrook are not obvious doubledeck bus builders and certainly when new the buses leaked upstairs in the rain! As London Coaches acquired some secondhand for the Original London Sightseeing Tour in inclement weather, the fault was obviously cured. Former East Kent 7987 (TFN987T) is seen at Marylebone.

Former 7986 (TFN986T) was one of three of the batch converted to open top and used by Chicago Doubledeck Tours. It still bears its original registration together with its new Illinois mark. It is believed the company is a subsidiary of Stagecoach's Coach USA. |

This rear view of Chicago Doubledeck Tours 175 shows the work that has been done to convert it to load on what was its offside as it does just that outside the famous Chicago Tribune building. Complete window removal also helps downstairs passengers to enjoy a similar experience to those upstairs, somewhat essential when windy city summer temperatures nudge the 100 mark and the wind has gone on vacation. |

Solent Blue Line established its Southampton operations with a large fleet of VRs. Seen in its final years, 87 (XJJ668V), a former East Kent bus, is basking in Southsea Spectacular sunshine in the summer of 2003. |
