Hopleys Coaches Optare Solo SR WK21CKL
Go-Ahead seized large parts of what was Western National's Cornish operations under the Transport for Cornwall franchise. This predated Andy Burnham's confiscation of the Manchester operations of several small operators as well as those of national heavyweights like Diamond, Arriva, First and Stagecoach. Hopleys Coaches of Mount Hawke operated the 304 commercially between Porthtowan and Truro via Mount Hawke. It has been able to retain the service, sub-contracted to Go-Ahead. The two Optare Solos used were replaced by a pair of Solo SR models one of which, WK21CKL, is seen at Porthtowan earlier this month and captured by our regular contributer, Ed Goodridge.
We have thousands of pictures to choose from for our Picture of the Week but you are welcome to send in your own. If we do not feature it here, it may appear later in our picture gallery.
Ideally pictures should be 732 pixels wide and no more than 100kB.
